SoulSync is a wellness and creativity product: you talk with an AI companion about what you’re feeling, and SoulSync turns that conversation into an original song for you. Because you may share deeply personal things here, this policy is written to be read, not skimmed. It says exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and what we will never do with it.

SoulSync is not therapy

Your SoulSync companion is software — an AI, not a human clinician, therapist, or counselor. SoulSync is a wellness and creative tool and is not a substitute for professional mental-health care, diagnosis, or treatment.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out to real people now. In the US: call or text 988(Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line). In Ghana, where there is no national crisis line: reach someone you trust, and if you are in immediate danger call 112. Anywhere else: call your local emergency number, or find a free helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. SoulSync’s companions are built to stop the creative session and point you to this help if you express thoughts of self-harm — that behavior is part of the product’s safety rules, not an afterthought.

Your trusted person. You can choose to name a friend or family member as your trusted person. We store their name and WhatsApp number and send them one message when you add them, so they know who we are. After that we message them only if a session shows you may be in danger, and we ask you first. We never send them anything you said in a session. Adding someone is optional, and you can update or remove them at any time.

Words you teach your coach. If you use “Say it better” to show your coach how something is said in your language, we keep the words you type, what they mean if you tell us, and, if you choose to record yourself, that recording. Recordings are stored privately and only the SoulSync team listens to them, to check a correction before it is used for other people. A correction can be shared with other users of your language once several people teach the same thing or our team approves it; it is never linked to your name. To have your corrections and recordings deleted, email us at the address below.

What we collect

Account information. If you create an account: your email address and sign-in credentials. If you join the waitlist or use an invite, the email you provide.

What you share in a session. The feelings, memories, and stories you tell your companion, and anything you type or say while creating a song.

What we create with you. The songs, lyrics, poems, and artwork generated in your sessions, saved to your Vault.

Voice, if you use voice features. Audio you record for speech-to-text, and, if you explicitly set one up, a voice profile used to render audio.

Basic technical data. Standard server logs (such as IP address and timestamps) needed to run and secure the service.

What we deliberately do not have:advertising trackers. SoulSync’s site contains no Meta pixel, no Google advertising tags, and no social-media tracking technologies.

Which of our ads brought you, if one did. When you arrive through one of our own ad links, your device remembers which ad it was (from the link itself) for up to 30 days. If you then sign up, we keep that note next to your sign-up so we can count which of our ads actually help people find SoulSync. It stays with SoulSync: it is never sent to Google, Meta or anyone else, and it never includes anything you say to a coach.

How many people our ads bring. When a browser arrives through one of our ad links, SoulSync counts that visit: which ad link it was and the country, nothing else — no name, no email, no IP address, no ad click id. These counts stay with SoulSync and are never sent to Google, Meta or anyone else.

How your conversations are handled

Your conversation is processed in real time to generate your companion’s replies and your song. We do not store your conversation transcripts on our servers. What persists is what you chose to create — the songs, lyrics, and artwork in your Vault — not the back-and-forth that produced them.

We do not use your conversations, your songs, or anything else you share to train AI models.

The three promises on our homepage, in plain language

“Vault Protected.”Your Vault — the songs and creations you save — is private to your account. Access requires your verified sign-in; one user cannot read another user’s Vault. If you use SoulSync without a full account, your Vault lives in your own browser on your own device rather than on our servers.

“AI Firewall.”This is our name for the safety layer around every companion: binding safety instructions that detect distress and crisis language, stop the session’s creative flow when you may be at risk, and surface real crisis help (988 and the Crisis Text Line in the US; your trusted person and 112 in Ghana; the local emergency number and findahelpline.com elsewhere). It is a behavioral safety system for the AI, and it is always on.

“Never Shared or Sold.” We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share what you tell your companion with advertisers or social-media platforms — not your words, not your email, not identifiers tied to your use of a wellness product. Regulators have punished wellness apps for quietly doing exactly this; we simply do not do it.

The service providers that make SoulSync run

Like nearly every modern product, SoulSync is built on infrastructure providers. They process your information only to run the service, under their own contractual terms:

  • Anthropic— the AI that powers companion conversations and lyric writing. Content sent through Anthropic’s API is not used by Anthropic to train its models.
  • Music rendering provider (Suno, via kie.ai) — receives the lyrics and style directions for your song in order to create the audio.
  • Voice providers (ElevenLabs; Khaya/Ghana NLP) — render spoken audio and transcribe voice input when you use voice features.
  • Supabase — hosts accounts and stores your saved songs and audio.
  • Vercel — hosts the website.

We share information with no one else, except if the law compels it — and if that ever happens, we will share the minimum required.

Retention and deletion

Your Vault is yours: your saved songs stay until you delete them. To delete your account and the personal information tied to it, email us at the address below and we will do it — we will confirm when it’s done. If you use SoulSync in local mode, your data lives in your browser’s storage and you can clear it yourself at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under state health-data and consumer-privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Email us to exercise any of these; we respond to every genuine request.

Children

SoulSync is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date, and for meaningful changes we will tell you in the product.
